NC's (hereinafter NC) PC MMORPG Aion began pre-registration on October 14 ahead of its 'Drakan' update on October 21. This update introduces Aion's first playable Dragonkin race, 'Drakan', alongside a second world based on the remake.
Pre-registration closes at 11:59 PM on October 20 and can be accessed on the official Aion website. All participants will receive hunting consumables, including HP recovery potions, and a new piece of equipment, the 'Cloak'. The 'Cloak' is equipment that aids character survival and growth as its tier increases.
Playable starting October 21, 'Drakan' utilizes two forms: 'Human Form' and 'Dragonkin Form'. Players can switch forms by consuming 'Rage', a resource accumulated by attacking enemies. The 'Human Form', which uses an 'Orb', performs magic attacks, while the 'Dragonkin Form' overwhelms multiple enemies with area-of-effect strikes.
Opening on the same day, the new world 'Drakan' is the second world established based on 'Aion Remake', following 'Daeva'. New and returning players can receive weapons, armor, accessories, and more at each stage of growth. Early hunting grounds have been redesigned, and safe zones where players can hunt without cross-faction combat have been prepared, with various events scheduled as well.
'Aion Remake', introduced by NC in May, is a large-scale update built around the concept of recreating Aion. It introduced an auto-hunting system and revamped key skills across all classes through a 'Class Remake'. It also added 'Wings' to combat while overhauling major systems, including inventory and crafting.
Detailed information about the 'Drakan' update can be found on the official Aion website.
