NVIDIA's DLSS 5 technology will officially be implemented into Where Winds Meet, a wuxia ARPG published by NetEase and developed by Everstone Studio.
On October 13, NVIDIA revealed the first gameplay video of Where Winds Meet featuring DLSS 5 via its official YouTube channel. DLSS 5 renders visuals based on a neural model, enhancing texture details and lighting effects to achieve photorealistic graphics.
In the released 1-minute-and-2-second video, viewers can observe further refined background environments and character details when DLSS 5 is enabled. The DLSS 5 implementation update for Where Winds Meet is scheduled for late November.
Alongside this, NVIDIA announced plans for its own DLSS 5 performance improvements. The company plans to release a new version that addresses the approximately 40% performance drop currently occurring when DLSS 5 is active. This improved version delivers a 1.4x frame rate boost compared to before, debuting first in NBA 2K27 before rolling out sequentially to other games supporting DLSS 5.
Meanwhile, Where Winds Meet recently released its Version 2.2 update, "Companion Above the Clouds," introducing new open-world bosses in Hidden Mountain, the multiplayer competitive content Dojinheo, and the new event "Mountain Treasure Hunt."
