SEGA Publishing Korea has released a "Prologue Demo" for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Atlus's fantasy RPG 'Metaphor: ReFantazio' to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of its release.
In this demo, players can play through the opening section of the game's story, and their save progress can be transferred to the full commercial version. There is no limit on the number of play sessions, allowing players to freely experience the main systems and early storyline ahead of release. However, some specifications differ from the full commercial version.
Alongside the demo, "Trials of the Blade," a web experience built around the game's battle system, was also unveiled. "Trials of the Blade" is a smartphone-exclusive web feature themed around 'Metaphor: ReFantazio''s "Fast & Squad" combat system. Users can swipe the screen to swing their sword and defeat enemies standing in their path.
Completing "Trials of the Blade" unlocks a photo mode feature using exclusive digital photo frames. To celebrate the release of this web content, Atlus is running an official social media event until 11:59 PM on October 31.
'Metaphor: ReFantazio' is a fantasy RPG developed by Atlus's Studio Zero, home to key developers of the 'Persona' series. Centered on a narrative surrounding royal succession, players travel the world with companions and experience the "Fast & Squad" combat system, which combines real-time action with turn-based command battles.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of 'Metaphor: ReFantazio' is scheduled to launch on November 12. The free demo is currently available for download on the Nintendo eShop, and the game is also available on existing platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox, and PC.
