A new retro action title based on Mattel's iconic classic animation 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe', 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction' will be released in 2027.
On the 12th, publisher Clear River Games and developer Bitmap Bureau unveiled a new trailer for the 2D arcade side-scrolling beat 'em up game 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction' and announced its global release on February 4, 2027.
This title is developed by Bitmap Bureau, which has proven its development prowess in the retro action genre with games such as 'Xeno Crisis' and 'Final Vendetta'. It features detailed 2D pixel graphics and satisfying combat impact that capture the golden age sentiment of 1980s arcade co-op brawlers.
The newly released trailer highlights the heroes' battle against the plot of arch-nemeses Skeletor and Evil-Lyn, who seek to plunge Eternia into darkness. Players can control distinct warriors including the original protagonist He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and She-Ra, with his loyal partner Battle Cat also joining the battlefield. The game consists of 13 large-scale stages in total and supports local co-op play, allowing players to enjoy arcade-style cooperative combat.
'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction' is scheduled for official release on February 4, 2027, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
