NC released "The Playlist," a Lo-Fi remix album featuring nine OST tracks, on October 12 to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of Lineage 2's service.
The arrangements for this album were handled by composers from NCSOUND. Building upon original tracks by Bill Brown, Jamie Christopherson, and Inon Zur, they added a variety of sounds and atmospheres centered around Lo-Fi Jazz to complement the distinct characteristics of each song.
The Playlist is a remake album designed to let listeners enjoy Lineage 2 music in their daily lives outside the game. Key OST tracks were reconstructed by preserving the original melodies and mood while adding the relaxing rhythms and textures of Lo-Fi.
The title track is "Crossroad at Dawn." NC introduced this piece as the most popular track among Lineage 2's music. In this arrangement, the original atmosphere where harp and woodwinds harmonize is expressed through Lo-Fi Jazz. The album also features tracks such as "Shepard's Flute" and "Unicorn's Rest."
The audio tracks are available on domestic and international streaming platforms—including Melon, Genie, Spotify, and YouTube Music—as well as the official NCSOUND YouTube channel.
