Neptune Company opened global pre-registration for its pixel adventure RPG Trace of Wind on the 6th. Following the acquisition of global publishing rights last July, the company is preparing for a global launch across both major mobile platforms and Steam.
Trace of Wind is a JRPG-style game focused on narrative progression set in a pixel art world. Unlike solo, repetitive mobile turn-based RPGs, it features multiplayer co-op combat as a core mechanic, along with non-combat activities such as fishing and mining.
Party composition incorporates a build system that allows players to combine up to 10 weapons to boost combat power. Players form parties with characters of varying elements and roles to engage in turn-based combat, while exploring the continent to discover hidden stories and treasures. The game also includes character collection and progression mechanics.
Pre-registration is available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and the official pre-registration page. The global launch is scheduled to take place across the two major mobile stores and Steam.
Seung-hyun Kwon, Head of Neptune's Game Business Division, said, "Trace of Wind is a role-playing game that encompasses an emotional narrative, cooperative turn-based combat, exploration, character collection, and progression, and we are aiming for a global release as soon as possible." He added, "We plan to focus on localization and operations to provide a service that global players can enjoy over a long period of time."
