Uniana will release the physical edition of the 2D action-exploration game Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, titled Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Midnight Edition, on October 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders begin on October 2.
Developed by Konami Digital Entertainment, this title is set in Paris, France, in 1499. Set 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, a horde of monsters attacks the city, prompting Rose Belmont—daughter of the hero Trevor Belmont—to set out through exploration and combat to find the source of the calamity. Rose Belmont wields the sacred whip, Vampire Killer.
In battle, players traverse stages utilizing the series' iconic whip action to engage in exploration and combat. Returning bosses such as Death, Medusa, and Carmilla appear alongside a new boss, Joan of Arc.
Defeated bosses are sealed in tarot cards held by Rose Belmont. Players can then use the power of the Arcana to acquire spells and special actions. The game also features customization elements that allow players to configure equipment and combat styles by combining weapons across seven categories with relics that take effect during offense and defense.
The world combines classic Gothic styling with vivid graphics, incorporating elements throughout that inherit the tradition of the Castlevania series. The Midnight Edition consists of the base game and a Digital Sound & Art Gallery, supporting English voice audio and subtitles in four languages including Korean.
