Starting on Oct. 1, SOOP will operate the Partners Mentoring program to help new and returning streamers adapt to the platform and sustain their broadcasting activities. Partner streamers will participate as mentors to share their experience in broadcast operation, content planning, and platform utilization.
Mentors in the program are partner streamers partnered with SOOP who actively stream based on their content competitiveness and influence. They will pass on broadcasting experience and know-how to new and returning streamers while exploring content directions together.
The mentoring method is tailored to each participant's situation and needs. In addition to advice on operation and platform usage, the program supports the process of developing the mentee's strengths and ideas into content, which can also lead to content collaborations between mentor and mentee if needed.
Mentors will receive mentoring financial support based on the activity and growth performance of their mentees. Additional support will also be provided to mentors who achieve outstanding results through the program. Mentor recruitment will initially target SOOP Partner Streamers and is scheduled to expand to Best Streamers in the future.
SOOP plans to foster an environment where streamers can share their experience and know-how, while continuously expanding opportunities for new content and interactions to be created.
Hong Ki-seok, Head of SOOP's Social Streamer Business Unit, said, "When starting a stream for the first time or restarting after a break, various concerns regarding content and broadcast operation can arise". He added, "Through Partners Mentoring, we hope to create an opportunity where experienced streamers and new or returning streamers can share their experiences and ideas, developing them into new content and broadcasting activities".
