Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, 'Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination', is now live, adding new playable character Hsin and a new area to explore in Mengzhou.
Wuthering Waves is an open-world action role-playing game (RPG) from Chinese developer Kuro Games. According to a release, the new version continues the main story with Chapter IV Act IV, 'Simulacrum of the Heart', and opens up the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou. A new Tales Quest, 'Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing', has also been added.
The update is split into two phases. Hsin is available now in Phase I, with returning Resonators (the game's term for playable characters) Chisa and Iuno also featured. Phase II starts on October 22nd (server time), when Suoming joins the game alongside Lucilla and Lynae.
Featured weapons follow the same split. Phase I features Blooming Jadehaven, Kumokiri and Moongazer's Sigil, with Unspoken Rue, Freeze Frame and Spectrum Blaster following in Phase II. New Echoes, which players equip on their Resonators, include Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet and Jade Nether Serpent.
Version 3.7 events and rewards
Blooms for the Shadow has been added as a new permanent event. Several other events will run throughout the version:

- Dreams in the Capsule
- Past Dreams
- Traced Seals
- Artisan's Search
- Echo Erase
- Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang
- Gifts of Waking Moon, a seven-day login event
- Waking Moon Fishing and Back to Solaris (web events)
- Bountiful Crescendo and Chord Cleansing (limited-time double drop events)
Players can also work through Moonlit Path to claim rewards at Moonlit Ring milestones. From October 22nd, the Gifts of Singing Drizzle login event will hand out 10 Radiant Tide in total, along with Premium Tuner and Crystal Solvent.
The To the New World - World Tour Concert Pack is also listed for purchase. It includes the Purrfect Pitch accessory for Rover, the game's protagonist. A new season of Pioneer Podcast is running as well. Players earn EXP by completing Podcast Tasks and unlock rewards as they level up, while the optional Insider Channel and Connoisseur Channel offer extra rewards.
Main Quest Replay and other changes
Version 3.7 also adds Main Quest Replay, which can be found in the Journey Log. It lets players go back through the main quests from Versions 1.1 and 1.3, as well as the Moon-Chasing Festival event from Version 1.2.
Echoes can now be stacked in the Echo Backpack, and the camera has gained Handheld and Selfie modes. Players can also save up to 20 team setups, each of which can be named and reordered. According to the release, a limited test of tiered client resource downloads will begin during the version for eligible players.
