Thailand has won gold in PUBG MOBILE at the 2026 Asian Games Esports Finals, finishing ahead of China and Pakistan after two days of competition. The PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version was held as part of the 20th Asian Games Esports Events in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. According to a release, 12 national teams played across two of the battle royale game's maps, Erangel and Miramar. Thailand ended the event on 128 points to take the gold medal. China finished second to claim silver.
The fight for bronze was far closer. Pakistan took third place and edged out both Indonesia and Vietnam by just five points. Jordan also had a strong final day. The team won Match 9 with 12 eliminations, although it did not finish in the medal positions.
According to the release, the gold medal is Thailand's first podium finish in PUBG MOBILE esports.
PUBG MOBILE's second Asian Games appearance
This year marked the second time PUBG MOBILE has been included as an official medal event at the Asian Games. The title made its debut at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
In the release, PUBG MOBILE said its return reinforced its position as 'one of the region's most popular competitive titles'. The company also described the game as the most widely represented esports title at this year's Games.
