Konami Digital Entertainment Limited (hereinafter Konami) officially released its new horror game SILENT HILL: Townfall on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
SILENT HILL: Townfall introduces a first-person perspective to the series for the first time, with the Silent Hill franchise recording cumulative global sales of over 17.8 million units as of the end of June. Set on a remote island off the coast of Scotland, players step into the shoes of protagonist Simon Ordell to explore St. Amelia and uncover the truths hidden on the island. Survival gameplay and combat also serve as core elements.
This entry enhances Silent Hill's signature psychological horror while adding immersion by allowing players to directly inspect the town through a first-person view. During exploration, players can uncover secrets connected to the story. Coinciding with the release, a launch trailer was published on the official Konami Asia YouTube channel. The video captures the atmosphere of the quiet town shrouded in thick fog along with key story elements.
A Deluxe Edition featuring the base game, a digital artbook, a digital soundtrack, and a Simon Ordell outfit was also released alongside the main game. Silent Hill is a horror franchise first introduced by KONAMI in 1999. Since then, it has expanded beyond mainline titles and spin-offs into various media content, including films.
