The Game Culture Foundation (Chairman Yoo Byung-han) published the 2024-2025 Gaming Industry Corporate Social Responsibility White Paper, compiling the gaming industry's social responsibilities and major activity outcomes. Major game companies belonging to the foundation's CSR council—including NHN, Nexon, Netmarble, NCSoft, NEOWIZ, and Pearl Abyss—jointly participated in publishing this white paper. Notably, it documents the gaming industry's CSR initiatives over a two-year period from 2024 to 2025, emphasizing the practical scale of contributions and real-world cases.

This year's white paper was organized around key themes: Sharing and Coexistence, Inclusion and Partnership, and Communication and Empathy. Going beyond simple monetary donations, each company detailed the social values created by applying the unique interactivity and creativity of gaming to various fields such as education, the environment, and social welfare. In addition, interviews with leaders of each company's CSR department were included, offering an in-depth look at each company's goals, field experiences, and future challenges in CSR.
Yoo Byung-han, Chairman of the Game Culture Foundation, stated, "Through this white paper, we were able to confirm that the gaming industry's corporate social responsibility is expanding into diverse areas and becoming increasingly sophisticated." He added, "As a hub for K-gaming culture opening up the future, the Game Culture Foundation will continue to document the gaming industry's CSR activities and strive to spread that positive value throughout society."
Meanwhile, the Game Culture Foundation, which has continuously highlighted the positive social value of the gaming industry since 2011, plans to distribute this white paper to the executive and legislative branches of government, as well as related institutions.
