NetEase Games and its development studio Everstone Studio released "Companion in the Clouds," the final chapter of the Hidden Mountain expansion for authentic wuxia RPG Where Winds Meet, on September 17.
In this final chapter, players embark on a journey through two story chapters, "A Bitter Winter" and "Sea of Sunfire," to confront Qianye, the mastermind behind the tragedy.
New campaigns have also been added. In 'Skyward City Ruins,' players maneuver between collapsing towers on a Wooden Eagle to battle former Grandmaster Halcyon. 'Final Direction' features a confrontation with Elder Peng on a battlefield where the gravitational field constantly shifts.
NetEase Games plans to add the new game mode 'Transdust Ruins' on September 23. Transdust Ruins is an extraction-style mode where players enter the desert solo or in three-player squads to gather items and escape via limited extraction paths. Players can utilize unique martial arts and mystic arts to defeat competitors or secure loot.
In the wild area of Hidden Mountain, the warrior Goshawk—who uses hammer attacks and flaming iron flowers—and the massive mechanized titan Golden Colossus Taicu appear as World Bosses. Additionally, September seasonal events offering limited rewards are also underway.
