Battlestate Games, the developer of Escape from Tarkov, is stepping into the games publishing business to support third-party developers.
Battlestate Games announced on September 4 (KST) that it has launched a new division, Battlestate Games Publishing. This division will provide development funding, launch support, and distribution for hardcore and niche titles developed by third-party studios.
The company places no restrictions on genre, platform, setting, or whether a project is single-player or multiplayer. It highlighted areas of interest including simulators, immersive sims, hardcore mechanics, military and tactical experiences, and intellectual, systems-driven games. It is also actively seeking projects that do not fit conventional pitch decks or those that other publishers passed on as overly ambitious, niche, or high-risk.
The scope of support varies depending on the project's development stage and needs. Battlestate Games will offer development funding, marketing, and platform support, as well as access to its player community, industry expertise, and operational resources. Partner studios will retain full ownership of their intellectual property (IP).
Nikita Buyanov, studio head and game director at Battlestate Games, stated, "We publish the games we want to make and play. We are here to help bring detailed, uncompromising hardcore ideas to life."
Battlestate Games Publishing is accepting proposals regardless of development stage, from early concepts to games that have already been released. The division emphasized that it prioritizes a complete concept and developer conviction over a polished demo. Details regarding its first published title, partner studios, and contract sizes were not disclosed.
