Venture capital firm Krit Ventures has executed a follow-up investment in Averton, the developer of the MMORPG Zeus: God of Arrogance. Marking their second investment following an initial round in 2024, the deal was conducted through a project fund worth approximately 6 billion won.

Krit Ventures (CEO Song Jae-joon) announced that it has executed a follow-up investment in game developer Averton (CEO Kim Dae-hwon) through a project fund raised specifically for investing in Averton.

Averton is a developer founded by CEO Kim Dae-hwon, who previously oversaw the development of numerous titles at Nexon, including Wars of Prasia and Dave the Diver. Following its official release last month, the studio's debut title, Zeus: God of Arrogance, reached No. 1 in revenue on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Zeus: God of Arrogance is an MMORPG built on Unreal Engine 5. Key features include a universe reinterpreting Greek mythology, large-scale battles, and a dedicated class specialized in economic activities. By structuring competition among players at similar stages of progression, the game also innovates upon the traditional MMORPG paradigm where competitive outcomes concentrated primarily on top-tier players.

Building on the performance of Zeus: God of Arrogance, Averton plans to refine the quality of two upcoming titles currently in development and grow into a multi-title developer capable of creating multiple games simultaneously.
