Pearl Abyss will globally launch Charting the Unknown, the first downloadable content (DLC) for Crimson Desert Enhanced, on October 16. Priced at 27,800 won, global pre-orders began on September 3.
On September 3, Pearl Abyss revealed the launch schedule and a new trailer featuring new content for Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown during Sony's (SIE) online showcase 'State of Play.'
In this DLC, the adventure previously centered on the land of 'Pywel' expands to the ocean. Players can captain their own ship, set sail to explore new islands, and discover hidden secrets while searching for treasures and ruins deep underwater.
Powerful enemies and new challenges appear across land and sea. Players can experience more intense combat than before by using tactics suited to each situation. The housing system has also been improved, allowing players to customize a home according to their taste, and accumulate wealth by directly managing leased facilities. Elements for conversing and building relationships with local residents are also added.
Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown will be released as a digital download exclusive. Pre-orders are available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
All players who complete a pre-order will receive the in-game items "Charter's Diving Set (Kliff, Oongka)" and "Charter's Light Diving Set (Damiane)." PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players who already own Crimson Desert Enhanced can purchase the DLC at a 10% discount.
Further details can be found on the official Crimson Desert Enhanced website, and a new Charting the Unknown trailer has also been released.
