Smilegate announced on September 3 that its new MMORPG 'Eclipse: The Awakening' (hereinafter 'Eclipse') will officially launch at 12:00 PM on September 10.
'Eclipse' supports cross-platform play across PC and mobile, allowing up to two clients to run simultaneously. Last August, the pre-character creation event conducted across all 24 servers was closed early due to high demand.
Ahead of the official launch, Smilegate will host a commemorative live broadcast on the official 'Eclipse' YouTube channel on September 5 at 8:00 PM. Hosted by announcer Park Ga-young, Executive Producer Lee Sang-mun, who leads development, and a special guest will appear. The broadcast will introduce a new trailer, key content, launch events, and future update roadmaps, alongside a real-time Q&A session.
'Eclipse' positions itself as an 'MMOLite' game that maintains the core growth and combat elements of traditional MMORPGs while reducing the pressure of constant login and competition. Its core content, 'Sanctuary,' provides summon tickets and growth resources over time, while 'AI Mode' enables characters to continue growing even while offline.
Smilegate Director Shin Jae-ik stated that the team is doing its utmost to refine service polish ahead of the official launch, and plans to share various upcoming news during the September 5 live broadcast.
