Smilegate announced on September 1 that its employees donated 83 upcycled umbrellas crafted by staff to the Seongnam Regional Children's Center Association.

The donation originated from 'TokTok Kit,' Smilegate's participatory organizational culture program. TokTok Kit is a program where team members naturally engage in conversation while crafting something together. In this session, 14 teams participated, sharing stories under the theme of 'Rain and Umbrellas' while crafting upcycled umbrellas.

Participants shared their experiences and emotions by answering questions included in the umbrella crafting kit. The company explained that employees had time to understand one another by sharing stories that are usually difficult to discuss during regular work duties.

The completed umbrellas were delivered to the Seongnam Regional Children's Center Association through Smilegate Hope Studio. The association plans to distribute the umbrellas for approximately 1,400 children using local children's centers in the city.

Lee Kwang-hee, head of Employee Relations at Smilegate, said, "This donation is an example of expanding team communication into regional giving." He added, "We will continue to provide opportunities for employees to naturally understand one another and create new value."
