China's National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) has granted foreign import game licenses to three new titles based on South Korean gaming IPs.

On August 31, the NPPA published a list of foreign import game licenses approved as of August 28. A total of six games received approval, three of which utilize South Korean game IPs.

Among the approved games was 'Bingganren Lianmeng (饼干人联盟)', which utilizes Devsisters' CookieRun IP. It is the Chinese version of CookieRun: Tower of Adventures. Having previously received an import license for CookieRun: Kingdom in March 2023, Devsisters has now secured a second entry path into China for the CookieRun IP.

A representative from Devsisters stated, "We will do our utmost alongside our local publisher to prepare for launch so we can present CookieRun: Tower of Adventures to Chinese players."

Netmarble's Solo Leveling: Arise was also approved under the title 'Wo Du Zi Sheng Ji: Jue Qi (我独自升级：崛起)'. The original work is a web novel by D&C Media and a webtoon by REDICE Studio, with game development handled by Netmarble Neo. This marks the first time the path to servicing mainland China has opened since its global launch in May 2024.

Based on Playwith's Seal Online IP, 'Xiwang Zhi Qihang (希望之启航)' was approved exclusively for mobile. Seal Online was previously serviced in China under the name 'Xiwang OL (希望OL)'. Playwith Games had signed a mobile game development agreement based on this IP with Kingnet Network and has been proceeding with development.

China issues foreign import publishing licenses for imported games separately from domestic games. Without a license, games cannot be officially operated in mainland China.
