Yuri Pregia Chaikovsky attended Charles Private Girls School, and was popular for being perfect in all aspects; studies, manners, socialization, music, and sports. Being the first daughter in the Chaikovsky family, she really was the pride of every student in the school.

Yuri had a best friend named Jenny. While everyone in the school treated her as an idol, Jenny was the only one who knew Yuri’s true self, having been with her since kindergarten. Yuri also considered her the only one who she could hang out with freely, but she still had a secret that could not be revealed even to Jenny.

Unbeknownst to many, Yuri was the head of a military defense corporation that generated profits through warfare. After being defeated by the Synd, mankind retreated and made a colony with the help of the alien called Anu. Some had been preparing for war ever since, and Yuri’s family secretly bolstered their forces as a military defense corporation, and Yuri inherited her father’s company, becoming the CEO after his death.

She decided she would join the expedition in order to act as a responsible leader and help her employees who joined the war. This is the secret that she could not tell anyone, even her best friend. The one-way trip to Earth is quite long, taking about 5 years, and she couldn’t guarantee her safe return. Although she hates war, Yuri decided to go to Earth nonetheless; she wanted to give aid to those who had resolved to risk their lives for the future of their families.

On the ship to Earth, she met her bodyguard and professional Master Silver, along with William Millet, the leader of the Earth expedition. William is the leader of the seven members of the committee that expanded its force with the military business on the Anu planet, and was a friend of Mr. Chaikovsky, Yuri’s father.

He had been dreaming of vengeance against the Synd for the loss of his family and home during the past war, and was a hardliner who strongly pursues the reclamation of Earth. Although she felt some lunacy from his zealous talk about reclamation and revenge, she braced herself and began the long journey towards Earth.

Despite the speed of the ship, the journey to Earth would take a long 5 years. Most of the crew members were put in cryogenic sleep to prepare for the upcoming war. Silver kept vigil in order to protect those who slept, while Yuri went into a deep slumber, thinking of how her friend Jenny would look after 5 years.

After 5 years of cryogenic sleep, the first thing Yuri saw after waking up was an intense battle around Earth’s atmosphere. Although Yuri’s troop were supposed to provide support and supplies and were therefore stationed in a relatively safe area, they were still about to be decimated by the massive Synd corps.

Her ship was destroyed by a small Synd that used Sol energy, and Silver suffered a terrible wound while trying to protect everyone. Terrified by the unexpected situation, she managed to rescue Silver from the Synd and escape to the Earth’s atmosphere using a small port.

With the entire fleet close to annihilation, William gave up on reclaiming Earth and decided to proceed with Plan B. The plan was that William and his troops would charge in against the Synds while the remaining forces create a gate in the orbit of the Moon and wait for the 2nd expedition. This was, in fact, a suicide mission.

Meawhile, Silver, Yuri, and a maid landed on Earth after evading the Synd. As they watched the expedition crumble to flames and rubble, they realized that they lost the war. However, Yuri didn’t give up and was determined to find any surviving troops and send them to Earth.

The webtoon called The Fist, which depicts the backstory of MXM’s new Master Yuri, is relatively short but has an interesting setting and dramatic story which drew many players’ attention.

The story after this details how she survives on Earth. She meets new people, and holds out against the Synd. How does she awaken the Sol energy and become a Master? Did William’s Plan B succeed?

Only the first episode of the webtoon has been translated into English, and the rest is expected to be done gradually after the official launch of the Master in the game.
