Qookka Games announced on August 31 that it will launch "Byeongyeon Chunqiu," a global server-exclusive scenario for the mobile strategy simulation game "Three Kingdoms Tactics," on September 5. Ahead of the launch, the developer also released a "Dev Prologue" video introducing the background and production process behind the update.
"Byeongyeon Chunqiu" is an original scenario inspired by the lineups and strategies presented by global server players. The development team explained that they underwent numerous discussions and simulations to enable players to research new lineups and tactics beyond the existing battlefield environment.
The core content is "Troop Modification." Players can upgrade or modify 16 types of special troops, and certain troop types can be converted into other types. Each troop type features four modification slots with three options per slot, allowing for 1,296 theoretical combinations.
Through "Policy Essentials," players can select government decree buffs—such as increased resource gain speed, officer attribute boosts, and special effects—to utilize in battlefield operations.
A new global server-exclusive officer, "40th Anniversary Lu Bu," will also be introduced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Koei Tecmo's "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" series. The officer will be distributed to all players alongside the release of "Byeongyeon Chunqiu."
At the end of the "Dev Prologue" video, a second global original season following "Byeongyeon Chunqiu" was also teased.
