Cygames announced on August 31 that it has released the ninth card pack, 'Revenants of Azvaldt', for its competitive online digital card game Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond.

'Revenants of Azvaldt' introduces 76 new cards and two exchange tickets that can be redeemed for items. Popular characters from the previous game, Shadowverse, including the "Convicts" and "Enforcers", also make an appearance. Players can use card pack points to obtain two full-art cards featuring special animations.

A launch celebration event is also underway. Completing missions offered over the first three days after logging in will reward players with a total of 10 'Revenants of Azvaldt Card Pack Tickets'. A deck gift event has also been prepared, allowing players to select and receive one deck of their choice between 'Sephie Runecraft' and 'Cutthroat Portalcraft'.

The limited-time 'Battle Dungeon' event, featuring battles against CPU opponents, will remain open until the release of the 10th card pack. Players can earn Dungeon Coins by clearing stages or completing dungeon missions. Collected coins can be exchanged for card sleeves and emblems of 'Magachiyo' and 'Barbaros', card pack tickets, premium orb shards, and other rewards.

In the shop, card style sets featuring new illustrations for 'Sephie' and 'Normagdala' will be available until the release of the 10th card pack.

Meanwhile, the official Korean Shadowverse YouTube channel released 'ROAD TO WGP', a documentary series depicting creators DawN and Karami over a six-month journey as they prepare to compete in 'Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2026'. Currently, two episodes have been released, with Episode 3 scheduled for release on September 4.
