Roguelike action game 'Neon Abyss 2' completes Early Access
Actively responding to player feedback, major updates significantly expand game content
Smilegate announced on August 27 that Neon Abyss 2 (hereinafter "Neon Abyss 2"), a roguelike action game developed by Veewo Games, will soon complete its Early Access period and launch its official PC version.
First introduced in Early Access in 2025, Neon Abyss 2 confirmed its official release by revealing a new trailer during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany. Neon Abyss 2 is set primarily in the "Abyss," a pixel-art world where cyberpunk and mythological elements collide. After falling in "New Athens," players step into the abyss as they realize that death is easy and survival is the true punishment. Joining forces with their loyal companion "Hatchmon," players embark on a vengeful crusade against both ancient and new gods.
Since its Early Access launch, Neon Abyss 2 has steadily improved its polish through active communication with players. Incorporating player feedback, major updates such as 'Fatal Carnival' and 'Glimmer Heist' introduced a variety of content, including terrifying yet alluring new bosses, new weapon rarities and affixes, an expanded roster of agents, and new game modes. The core feature of four-player co-op brawling has also been expanded, allowing players to freely combine hard-hitting melee weapons and ranged firearms for dynamic run-and-gun action.
Having drawn enthusiastic anticipation and support from the Korean gaming community since its Early Access reveal, Smilegate plans to continue supporting local marketing and Korean localization quality improvements ahead of the official release. Detailed information on Neon Abyss 2 can be found on its official STOVE and Steam game pages.
