Netmarble announced on August 27 that it launched a major update, the 'Half-Anniversary Festival,' to celebrate the six-month milestone of its open-world RPG 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.' The game was developed by Netmarble F&C.

This update introduces the new hero Ban, a member of the original 'The Seven Deadly Sins.' Representing the 'Fox Sin of Greed,' Ban is a character who uses his unique magic 'Snatch' to steal opponents' strength and items. In the game, he employs a variety of combat styles using Nunchaku, Greatswords, and Gauntlets. With Ban's arrival, all seven heroes from the original work are now gathered in the game.

The main story for Act 16, set in the new region of 'Ravens,' has also been unveiled. The narrative follows a pursuit surrounding 'Star Fragments' and the stories of various characters in an outlaw city rampant with crime and thieves.

A new weekly mode, 'Labyrinth,' will be updated on September 2. Players can utilize various heroes regardless of their growth levels, strategically combining them based on choices given each round. A new growth system, 'Transcendence Refinement,' along with the new boss 'Indura Monspeet' and the highest difficulty tier, 'Transcendence,' have also been added.

Convenience features and perks for new and returning players have also been provided. A feature to skip the early tutorial and an auto-play feature for the main story up through Chapter 1 have been introduced. Upon completing the tutorial, players are guaranteed to receive 'SSR Meliodas' on their first summon.

Netmarble is distributing a total of 500 million 'Star Fragments' through the 'Spin, Orb of Greed' event. Players can complete daily missions and participate in the event to obtain up to 30,000 Star Fragments at a time.

User voting for the game's first 'Poll Summon' runs from August 26 to September 2. The top 3 voted heroes will be included in the Poll Summon lineup updated on September 16.

Additionally, events such as 'A Gift from <The Seven Deadly Sins>,' 'Half-Anniversary Reward Selection Check-In Event,' 'Her Return,' and 'Timespace Junction Season 2' will be held.
