Following the reveal of a teaser at Gamescom, KRAFTON has launched the official Steam store page for its new action RPG 'TARAE: The Unbound', disclosing detailed information about the title.

'TARAE: The Unbound' is a top-down action RPG set in an Eastern dark fantasy world. Taking place on 'Taegwido', an island created when Agatha shattered the boundaries to break the cycle of reincarnation, players set off on a journey to find the scattered 'Source' and restore order to the shattered Six Realms. The game features six Seekers, each with distinct motivations and pasts. The five characters other than the one selected by the player join as companions, unfolding a deep storyline through the numerous events and conflicts they face together.

The combat system is designed around the thrill of clearing massive hordes of enemies packing the battlefield using a variety of skills and link attacks. Inspired by Eastern culture and mythical elements, unique classes offer different combat resources and skill systems, including swords and firearms, martial arts and sorcery, and divine power. In particular, players can create unique builds by integrating Eastern concepts such as the generating and overcoming cycles of the Five Elements, the harmony of Yin and Yang, Karma, and the Six Realms of reincarnation across character progression, equipment, and combat systems.

Additionally, formidable foes from Eastern folklore and mythology appear as bosses, with each boss battle designed around strategic mechanics focused on pattern recognition, evasion, and counterattacks. Field exploration is another key feature, showcasing Eastern aesthetics where beauty and the grotesque coexist across tranquil temples, ruined capitals, and battle-scarred landscapes.
