Global game developer and publisher NetEase Games and its subsidiary Joker Studio announced that their new turn-based roguelike RPG, "Sea of Remnants," will hold a global CBT in December this year.

Sea of Remnants unveiled a new trailer and announced its global CBT during Gamescom Opening Night Live, held early this morning KST. Sea of Remnants is a new title preparing for a global release, including Korea, across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and mobile platforms.

The new trailer was released in the format of a music video featuring the background track "Winds of Memory," showcasing newly revealed content including various islands, minigames, turn-based combat, and naval action that will appear in the game. It also featured gameplay footage offering a preview of the core game loop, which spans setting sail, exploration, gathering, and returning.

Sea of Remnants is an adventure game in the roguelike genre set in an open world where replayability is key. Enemies, bosses, recruitable crew members, equipment, skills, and enhancement elements change with every expedition. Consequently, flexibly adjusting crew compositions and combat strategies for each playthrough situation serves as the core fun of the game.

Sea of Remnants is the latest anticipated title from NetEase Games' Joker Studio, the developer behind Identity V, and is preparing for a global launch including Korea. The game will also run an official booth at G-STAR in Busan this year.
