Smilegate announced on Monday, August 24, that Epic Seven, the mobile turn-based strategy RPG developed by Super Creative, revealed details on new content, events, and the opening of its Steam store page through the showcase video "Infinity," celebrating its 8th anniversary of official launch.

The showcase video was released on the official Epic Seven YouTube channel at noon on Saturday, August 22. In the video, Executive Producer Kwang-jin Tak and Development Director Dae-kyun Heo, who lead the planning and development of Epic Seven, shared future update plans and details on interactive offline events for the 8th anniversary.

The news of Epic Seven's expansion to Steam attracted the most attention in the video. Epic Seven will officially launch on Steam within this year, as part of a platform expansion addressing global players' demand for a Steam release. To this end, the Steam store page opened on August 22, launching a Wishlist Event that grants various currencies and items based on the number of wishlists reached. Players can play on Steam through account transfer supported by STOVE, and a new server will also be provided alongside the official Steam launch. The new server will operate as an independent matchmaking server for a set period to accommodate players starting Epic Seven for the first time. In addition, controller support will be added to the Steam service to offer a unique gameplay experience. The exact launch schedule will be announced at a later date.

Various 8th anniversary update details were also unveiled. A new side story Episode, "Paradise Lost," which covers the earliest era in the Epic Seven lore—where the world repeatedly falls into ruin and is rebuilt—will begin on August 27, with new heroes such as "Lisette" and "Uncharted Pioneer Politis" introduced sequentially. A collaboration with Smilegate's another popular IP, Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN), is also underway. Key combatants from CZN will be added as Epic Seven heroes, along with "Dimensional Exploration," a new roguelike PvE mode. Meanwhile, a new real-time PvP mode, "Call of Chaos," will be added to the World Arena. Players can look forward to unpredictable battles in every match using "Destiny," a powerful effect chosen during combat.

In terms of quality-of-life improvements, the introduction of an offline feature for battle delegation (repeat battling) drew significant interest. Once added, players can collect growth materials through repeat battles while offline, which is expected to further ease the burden of hero progression.

Information on offline events scheduled through the second half of the year, starting with the 8th anniversary celebrations, was also announced. On Saturday, August 29, the "Festival of Everlasting Successors" will be held on the 12th floor of Hyundai Department Store Sinchon Branch with approximately 160 players. Executive Producer Kwang-jin Tak and Development Director Dae-kyun Heo will attend the event to communicate directly with fans. Furthermore, a collaboration cafe will operate on the B2 floor of Hyundai Department Store Sinchon Branch for about a month, from August 29 to September 30. In addition, the global esports tournament to determine the ultimate Epic Seven World Arena champion, the Epic Seven World Championship (E7WC 2026), will kick off on September 12 with in-game qualifiers. The Grand Finals are scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 28 at the Lotte World Tower Super Plex in Jamsil.

Meanwhile, an 8th anniversary event packed with generous rewards will begin on August 27, offering all players a total of 1,260 free Covenant Summons and the bunny girl-themed "Majestic New Moon Luna" skin, which won first place in a player popularity poll.
