BNK FearX suffered a 1-2 reverse sweep loss against Nongshim RedForce in the final match of the '2026 LoL Champions Korea (hereinafter LCK)' regular season, held on the 23rd at Chzzk LoL Park in Jongno, finishing third in the Rise Group. After winning Game 1, they dropped Games 2 and 3 in succession, narrowly missing out on a direct spot in the playoffs.
Speaking to the press room after the match, Head Coach Park Jun-seok explained the cause of the loss that day: "In Game 1, our plan went as intended during the draft phase, so we won smoothly. However, in Games 2 and 3, major accidents happened before we could even execute that plan, and I think we lost before we could even snowball. We were a bit lacking in our early strategy."
Asked about his thoughts on finishing the regular season, Coach Park gave a positive response, saying, "Things were really good when we finished second in the LCK Cup and qualified for First Stand. But after that, scrims weren't going well, and it was a bit tough." He added, "Still, I think we've been gradually building ourselves back up since the middle of the split. We are making progress, and the team atmosphere is steadily improving."
When asked about his biggest regret and most satisfying moment during the regular season, he pointed to First Stand. He answered, "Managing the schedule after First Stand is my biggest regret. Looking back now, I think we should have rested a bit more. I didn't realize the schedule would be that tough. The best part was finishing second in the LCK Cup and playing at First Stand."
Now, BNK FearX will face Nongshim RedForce again in the Play-In Stage. The loser is eliminated, while the winner advances to the next round. Head Coach Park Jun-seok expressed his determination, stating, "We have nowhere left to retreat, so we will grit our teeth and prepare. Back when I was in the CL, I experienced rising up as an underdog. I will instill that mindset in the players and make sure we perform well."
