Dplus KIA lost 0-2 against Hanwha Life Esports in Round 4 of the '2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK)' held at the ChZZK LoL PARK in Jonggak on the 20th. Both Game 1 and Game 2 were closely contested, back-and-forth matches, but getting caught at crucial moments and making minor missteps in teamfights ultimately cost DK the victory to Hanwha Life.

The following is the interview with DK head coach Kim Dae-ho and 'Smash' Sin Geum-jae.

Q. What are your general thoughts on today's match?

Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: It's disappointing to lose 0-2, but I think it was a good match.

'Smash': It's disappointing to lose a match we could have won.

Q. Despite the loss, what was good about it?

Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: With playoffs right around the corner, we were able to experience a similar atmosphere, and there were many aspects within the match that will be helpful to us.

'Smash': When we go to the playoffs, we'll likely face teams from the Legend Group, and this loss feels somewhat regrettable. If we make further improvements during the remaining time, I think we can win.

Q. In Game 1, the bot lane was going well?

Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: Rather than bot lane going well systematically, it was a bit strange. Hanwha Life had better team movement. Thanks to our players' individual skill, our bot lane hit a strong timing, but we made poor choices at points where we could have won. For Game 2, I think we need to look at it starting from the pick-and-ban phase. We need to go back, fix our flaws thoroughly, and practice hard.

Q. Your final match is against Gen.G.

Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: We will use today's defeat as fuel and prepare well.

'Smash': Since we don't have much time, we will prepare as best as we can. Gen.G has been showing fierce momentum recently, so we need to prepare thoroughly to win.

Q. Do you have any final words?

Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: Thank you for always supporting us, and we will work hard.

'Smash': It's regrettable that we lost a game we could have won. We will do well in our remaining match and perform well in the playoffs as well.
