Gen.G defeated T1 2-0 in the Legend Group match of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held on the 16th at the KSPO Dome in Seoul's Olympic Park. By handing T1 a clean sweep on their home turf, Gen.G returned the favor for their own loss at the homestand two weeks ago and extended their winning streak to four.

In Game 1, Gen.G widened the gap early on. T1 started at a disadvantage after a failed bottom-lane dive and falling behind in the top-lane matchup. During a mid-game Dragon teamfight, 'Canyon' Kim Geon-bu landed a three-man ultimate skill with Lee Sin, and 'Kiin' Kim Gi-in secured a solo kill, allowing Gen.G to seize control of both side lanes and objectives.

T1's counterattack came during the Dragon Soul teamfight. After picking off an opponent and securing Baron, T1 gained momentum; they then turned the tide when 'Doran' Choi Hyun-joon's Vayne initiated a surprise engagement during a standoff at the Elder Dragon, leading to a T1 victory and the capture of both Elder Dragon and Baron buffs.

However, Gen.G turned the teamfight back in their favor despite being in a 4-v-5 situation after Lee Sin was taken down first. The firepower of 'Ruler' Park Jae-hyuk and 'Chovy' Jung Ji-hun overcame the disadvantage, and after wiping out T1, Gen.G reclaimed the Elder Dragon and Baron buffs. Capitalizing on this momentum, Gen.G destroyed all three inhibitors and closed out Game 1 by winning the final engagement.

T1 took the early lead in Game 2. 'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok's Twisted Fate disrupted the top side of the map with roams, and with the bottom lane gaining an advantage, T1 was the first to stack Dragons. Gen.G, conversely, found their answers in the top side. Despite falling behind in the laning phase, 'Chovy's' Syndra grew without dying, creating a significant difference in damage output.

The match was decided at the 30-minute mark near Baron. Gen.G baited T1 by starting the Baron, then chased down and eliminated the T1 top laner who had flanked them, creating a numerical advantage. After securing Baron, Gen.G picked off 'Faker,' pushed down the bottom inhibitor, and systematically dismantled the remaining inhibitors through superior macro play to complete the 2-0 series sweep.
