In Game 2 of the series held on T1's home turf, the visiting team, Dplus KIA, mounted a successful counterattack. 'Lucid' Choi Yong-hyuk’s early movements on Jarvan IV were sharp, and the team showed great resilience in turning the tables on T1’s plays. By monopolizing major objectives, they paved their way to victory.
Early in Game 2, Dplus KIA established momentum thanks to the strong play of 'Lucid' Choi Yong-hyuk on Jarvan IV. After securing first blood with consecutive mid-lane ganks, Jarvan IV continued to land effective plays, such as picking off 'Doran' Choi Hyun-joon’s Ambessa in the side lane and taking down 'Oner' Moon Hyun-joon’s Pantheon in the jungle.
T1 responded with coordinated team movements. They caught Jarvan IV in a mid-jungle skirmish and successfully executed a top-lane dive using global ultimate skills. When Pantheon was solo-killed by Jarvan IV during a counter-jungle attempt, 'Phase' Kim Su-hwan’s Caitlyn and Ambessa quickly rotated to finish off Jarvan IV. T1 also managed to take down both the enemy mid and jungle using Pantheon’s ultimate.
However, around the 25-minute mark, Dplus KIA expertly countered T1’s attempt to target Twisted Fate. Pantheon and Ambessa failed to utilize their skills effectively, and as the fight dragged on, the main body of Dplus KIA arrived to eliminate both. The reward was Baron. That said, they couldn't fully capitalize on the Baron buff as 'Siwoo' Jeon Si-woo’s Aatrox was caught out.
The Chemtech Dragon soul appeared for Dplus KIA. T1, desperate to stop the dragon, couldn't focus on the fight; as Caitlyn was forced into a duel against Aatrox, T1 conceded two kills. Dplus KIA easily took down Pantheon and secured their second Baron. Once again, however, Aatrox was caught in a side lane, preventing them from gaining a significant lead.
Nevertheless, through consecutive teamfight victories over major objectives, Dplus KIA built up a 4k gold lead. They forced T1 back with sheer power and secured the Chemtech soul. T1’s desperate mid-lane landing play failed, and Dplus KIA went on to claim both Baron and Elder Dragon. Advancing into the enemy base, Dplus KIA used the power of the double buffs to end the game.
