BNK FEARX secured a 2-1 victory against Rise Group's Kiwoom DRX in the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 4 match held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 13rd. Having also won their previous Round 3 encounter, BNK FEARX's second consecutive win over Kiwoom DRX has put them in a favorable position in the standings.
In an interview with INVEN after the match, 'Taeyoon' Kim Tae-yoon said, "Kiwoom DRX played non-ADC champions in our previous match and avoided the so-called 'sensitive' matchups. I anticipated they might opt for those sensitive matchups today, so I practiced with that in mind. I'm happy we won, especially since this was such a crucial match."
'Aiming,' who joined the group following a trade, is well-known for his exceptional carry potential. When asked if he felt any pressure facing such a player in a head-to-head bottom lane matchup, 'Taeyoon' replied, "Honestly, I was actually hoping for that kind of high-stakes scenario." He explained that while 'Aiming' is a skilled player, there are many other strong bottom laners, and he considers himself to be among them.
'Taeyoon' proved his point, putting on a stellar performance in Game 2 with an early quadra kill on Yunara, and consistently securing clutch kills in every teamfight during Game 3 while playing Kai'Sa, earning him the Player of the Match (POM) title.
BNK FEARX's next opponent is DN Supers. Since being confirmed for last place, DN Supers has shown significantly improved performance, acting as a 'spoiler' for teams currently locked in the fierce battle for the top four spots in the Rise Group. 'Taeyoon' laughed and said, "It was fun to watch when it didn't involve us."
He added, "Up until now, I've been watching as a spectator, and since it's a good situation for our team, I've been enjoying it. I expect them to play well against us, too. I'm looking forward to an exciting match and a victory."
To maintain the first-place spot they secured with today's win, every remaining match is critical, not just the one against DN Supers. "If we win all three remaining matches, we finish first. I understand that the first-place team in the Rise Group faces the fifth-place team from the Legend Group. I really want to face them. I'm going into every game with the mindset to win," he said.
It has already been four months since he joined BNK FEARX via a trade. When reminded of this, 'Taeyoon' expressed surprise at how quickly time had passed. "I adapted to the team very quickly after the trade. It's been a long time since I even thought about that transition. I'm doing really well, and it just feels like my original team now," he said calmly.
'Taeyoon' concluded the interview by saying, "I want to win all our remaining games and secure first place. After all, first place is always better, isn't it? I'll do my best to repay the fans for all their support. Thank you."
