JOYCITY is embarking on a new chapter with the official launch of 'FreeStyle: Reboot' on the 13rd, a new online basketball game that preserves the spirit of the original while significantly improving its systems.
JOYCITY (CEO Cho Seong-won) announced that 'FreeStyle: Reboot,' developed in-house, officially began service on the 13rd. This new title inherits the authentic identity of the original FreeStyle IP while upgrading overall content and systems to meet the standards of modern gamers. It retains the '3v3 real-time matches' and the signature free-spirited street basketball atmosphere that were the most vital elements of the original. Additionally, a new engine has been applied to significantly enhance character movement and visual graphical fidelity.
Notably, this title has drastically reduced the reliance on item stats. Instead, the system has been redesigned so that a player's individual skill and actual gameplay experience have a more direct impact on match outcomes. Through this, the company has ensured that players can enjoy the core essence of the game and compete in a fair environment.
Starting with the official domestic launch, JOYCITY plans to prioritize building a stable operational foundation. Based on its performance, the company intends to sequentially expand its service reach to global markets, including China.
Jeon Hyun-kyu, director of the FreeStyle business division at JOYCITY, stated, "We are delighted to officially introduce 'FreeStyle: Reboot.' We are committed to providing a smooth and fair play environment and will continue to develop it into a long-loved game through updates that reflect user feedback."
Detailed information regarding the official launch of 'FreeStyle: Reboot' and various 'launch events' can be found on the official website.
