Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 13rd that it is rolling out the second update for its MMORPG 'Mabinogi' as part of the 'RE:ACTION' summer campaign.

This update expands growth content and improves user convenience features, while also supporting summer season progression through the 'Black Combo Card' event.

First, the maximum level cap for 'Arcana Ascension' has been increased from 30 to 50. Once you reach Arcana level 10 and complete the guide quest, Ascension will be unlocked. Upon reaching Ascension level 31, you can learn a new, unique Arcana-specific attack skill called an 'Ascension skill.' These skills deal high damage over a wide area and feature powerful effects, such as a 100% critical hit rate and damage immunity while casting.

Next, one new 'Five-Sword Word' combination effect has been added for each Arcana. As with the first update last summer, equipping the three required Five-Sword Words will trigger a unique effect. The higher the grade of the Five-Sword Words used in the combination, the stronger the effect, allowing for even more diverse Arcana-specific combat styles.

Nexon has also improved user progression convenience. By introducing the 'Erg Gold Growth' system, players can now fill the EXP required for the next 'Erg' level or unlock the maximum level using only a specified amount of gold, without the need for material items.

Furthermore, the 'Black Combo Card' event will run until the maintenance on October 1. Every week from Friday at 7:00 AM to Monday at 6:59 AM, players will receive one additional free reset. The number of allowed gold resets has been increased from two to five, and special resets from one to three. A new item, the 'Black Combo Card Multiplier Enhancement Ticket,' has also been introduced, providing a new way to guarantee a 1% increase in slot values. A goal-based reward system has also been established, granting these enhancement tickets upon completing 20 daily quests.
