On the 12nd, EDG narrowly lost 1-2 to AL at the 2026 LPL Split 3 match held at the LNG Esports home stadium, the Suzhou Yangcheng International Esports Center. EDG, who held a 0-8 record, managed to take the first set against the 6-2 AL but ultimately suffered a heartbreaking defeat after letting a near-certain victory slip away in the third set. 'BuLLDoG' Lee Tae-young, who moved to LNG this year to take on the LPL challenge, is currently in the process of adjusting again after transferring to EDG mid-season. Given the circumstances, the loss felt even more painful after coming so close to victory.

Below is the full interview with 'BuLLDoG' Lee Tae-young, currently playing for EDG in the LPL.

Q. It's refreshing to see you in the LPL. How have you been?

This is my first year in the LPL, and while it hasn't been a smooth journey, I'm working hard.

Q. After a long tenure with your former team, Afreeca (now DNS), you decided to take on the challenge of moving to China. What led to that decision?

I came to the LPL because I wanted to overcome what I considered my weaknesses last year: skirmishing and teamfight ability. I've adapted quite a bit now, but at first, there were communication difficulties in scrims due to the language barrier.

Q. You're in the process of adjusting to a new team, and EDG's current performance isn't great. What is your mindset heading into matches?

Our current issue is a lack of proactivity. I'm trying to work on overcoming that.

Q. What was the most regrettable part of today's match?

My first death in the third set was too costly. Once I lost mid lane priority, the snowball effect just kept rolling.

Q. This is your first time in the LPL; have you faced any difficulties in your daily life?

My agency, Shadow Corporation, constantly checks in to see if I need anything and visits almost every month to take care of me, so I'm adjusting well.

Q. Roke' is very hot in Korea right now. Even though a Nerf is planned, how is Roke viewed in the LPL, and do you think it will still be viable in competitive play after the Nerf?

The mechanism itself is good. It's hard for the champion to do much on its own, but depending on the team composition, there are definitely situations where it's worth using.

Q. You have many fans cheering for you in Korea. Would you like to say a word to them.

I'm truly grateful to the Korean fans who watch the LPL. There's a fan who has been supporting me since my debut who even recently traveled all the way to China to cheer for me. It's a huge source of strength. I'm doing my absolute best, and I will make sure to repay the fans with a victory.
