NetEase Games and its subsidiary Everstone Studio have announced that the second chapter of the new expansion for 'Where Winds Meet,' titled 'Perilous Path of Elysea,' will officially launch on August 20. The developers also confirmed their participation in Gamescom 2026.

With the 'Bulgyeonsan' Chapter 2 update arriving on August 20, players can participate in the 'Mountain Peak Revisited' campaign to explore the new stage, 'Elysea's Perilous Path.' This stage features a variety of terrain elements, including dizzying mountain heights, cliffs, precipices, and an ancient observatory.

New monsters and high-difficulty dungeons have also been added. Two powerful bosses—the giant scorpion-like 'Sumukgal' and the snake-shaped 'Unryongsa,' both crafted with ancient technology—will challenge players to exploit their weaknesses the moment their defenses drop. Additionally, the 'Infinite Labyrinth,' a multi-layered wooden gear-based dungeon, will open, requiring players to adjust floor plates and destroy security devices to escape. Players can also uncover new lore through the 'Dark Valley Campaign,' a mission where they cooperate with a boy to repair machinery in a deserted valley.

Two new martial arts skills and various content for combat and survival are being introduced. These include 'Arrow of Study,' a bow skill that fires nine arrows to slow enemies, and 'Peak of All Things,' which channels healing energy into a greatsword. The 'Zhaoyingshe' solo survival mode, themed around the traditional 'Zhongyuan Festival,' allows players to attempt a solitary escape from a temple. Other activities include the 'Flying Swallow Race' for record-breaking competition and 'Martial Merchant,' where players can earn rewards by establishing trade routes.

Meanwhile, Where Winds Meet will participate in Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, this August, featuring a booth modeled after the in-game 'Ghost Gate Market.'
