NC is transitioning the global service of Throne & Liberty to an in-house operation this year, establishing a single, integrated play environment across PC and console platforms.
NC (co-CEOs Kim Taek-jin and Park Byung-moo) announced that it will transition the global service of its MMORPG, Throne & Liberty (developed by FirstSpark Games, CEO Choi Moon-young; hereafter TL), to an in-house system within this year. The move aims to strengthen the synergy between development and service by bringing global operations—previously handled in partnership with Amazon Game Studios—directly under NC, ensuring a consistently stable environment for global users.
Once the transition to direct service is completed within the year, users on PC and console platforms—including PURPLE, Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox—will be able to enjoy Throne & Liberty together in a single, unified global environment. Following the system change, all assets and play data, including character information, play progress, inventory items, and the in-game currency 'Lucent,' will be maintained without interruption. PURPLE users can continue to access the game using their existing accounts without needing to re-agree to terms or undergo any additional procedures. Detailed information regarding this transition will be provided sequentially through the official website and dedicated announcement pages.
