Global interactive entertainment brand HoYoverse announced today that it will release the Version 3.1 update, 'A Long Goodbye,' on October 29 to celebrate the second anniversary of the urban fantasy ARPG 'Zenless Zone Zero.'

In the main story 'A Long Goodbye,' representatives from major New Eridu factions arrive on the island, and the story unfolds as the Proxy meets Public Security Bureau Chief 'Lindbern' and Deputy Chief 'Sigrid' for the first time in an official capacity.

The update introduces the first S-rank Anomaly Agent with the Lumen attribute, 'Remiel Dan,' and the S-rank Ice-attribute Attack Agent 'Sigrid,' alongside the new permanent content 'Strange Labyrinth: Bagel Project.' The S-rank Lumen Anomaly Agent 'Remiel Dan' features an 'Attribute Conversion' mechanism that shifts their attack attribute based on the attribute of the next Agent in the party.

Players can also utilize 'Support Skills,' which unleash powerful effects when resources are full during combat, and 'Mutation,' which converts accumulated points into a massive final burst of damage.

The S-rank Ice-attribute Attack Agent 'Sigrid' can cast branching skills by holding the basic attack button in specific states. Her crit chance increases significantly for a duration, allowing players to deal higher damage as they maintain a smooth damage-dealing tempo.

The new permanent content 'Strange Labyrinth: Bagel Project' tasks players with venturing deep into erosion zones to collect supplies and strengthen combat power before extracting within a time limit to use the gathered materials for building a research base. In the limited-time event 'Waves of Summer,' players can experience beach gathering and souvenir shop management alongside characters like Lucy, Sigrid, and Remiel. Completing the main story rewards players with Lucy's summer costume, 'Princess' Holiday.'

Additionally, five new costumes will be added, and a 'Custom Tuning' mechanism will be introduced. Players can pre-select six desired S-rank Agents; if an S-rank signal is obtained during tuning, one of the selected Agents will appear with an equal probability.

A 'New Proxy Guide' replaces the existing 'Trials,' providing party composition recommendations, progression tracking, level up guidance, and tips for obtaining Polychrome. Improvements include ▲faster growth for Proxy level 20–50, ▲bulk lock/unlock functionality for W-Engines in Storage, and ▲an auto-select feature for the W-Engine recommendation screen.

To celebrate the second anniversary, all Proxies will be able to choose one of five limited S-rank Agents—including 'Jane,' '0-No. Enby,' and 'Hugo'—for free during the Version 3.1 period, along with that Agent's signature W-Engine.

Players will also receive the latest Cinema for Pyrois and upgrade materials for signature W-Engines. Login rewards include a total of 1600 Polychrome, and the second-half 'Ungna Delivery' attendance event offers a total of 20 pull opportunities.

Furthermore, the global gourmet collaboration event 'Yum-Yum Operation' returns, featuring Ellen and Manato as they host a grand banquet for Proxies worldwide. In Korea, a collaboration with Round Pizza will offer limited-edition menus including merchandise from August 4 to 25.

Launching alongside this version update, the Xbox PC version will support cross-platform play between console and PC within the Xbox ecosystem. More details can be found on the official website and official X account.
