T1 secured a 2-0 victory over GAM in their best-of-three match at EWC 2026, held on the 16th at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in France, successfully advancing to the quarterfinals as the second seed in their group. The quarterfinal draw will take place following the conclusion of today's matches, where T1 will face one of the first-place teams from other groups: AL, Hanwha Life, or Gen.G.

Early in the first set, T1 took control against GAM thanks to strong play from Oner's Vi. However, GAM held their own in skirmishes, preventing the gold gap from widening significantly. Even so, T1 maintained a clear lead, securing objectives like the Rift Herald and three Dragon stacks.
T1 pushed the opposition back in a fight near the mid lane and successfully secured the Dragon Soul. After comfortably taking Baron, T1 used the Baron buff to decisively widen the gap and easily closed out the first game.
In the second game, T1 completely overwhelmed GAM from the start. Beginning with the bottom and top lanes, they also picked off the opposing jungler in the mid lane
recorded a kill. GAM managed to repel one of T1's tower dives in the top lane, but Faker's Sylas, already with two early kills, solo-killed the Lucian in the bottom lane to reach three kills by the eight-minute mark. GAM then turned their attention to Doran's Gnar in the bottom lane.
Anticipating the dive, Faker's Sylas rotated quickly to the bottom lane to pick up a triple kill, growing into a force worthy of his 'Unkillable Demon King' moniker. While T1 played with a lead spearheaded by the massively fed Sylas, GAM proved resilient.
Despite being behind, GAM executed brilliant teamfights to suppress T1 and create a path back into the game, even securing a Baron. GAM managed to close the gap significantly, but T1 ultimately emerged victorious. Despite some team-wide instability, T1 regained their composure to suppress their opponents, defeating GAM 2-0 and successfully advancing to the quarterfinals as the group runner-up.
