Japanese animation studio MAPPA will be responsible for all animated cutscenes in Persona 4 Revival.

Atlus announced via its official X (formerly Twitter) account that MAPPA will handle the production of the animated cutscenes for the game.
Founded in 2011, MAPPA is a Japanese animation studio that has gained significant global recognition for producing titles such as Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, The God of High School, and the final season of Attack on Titan.
The Persona series has a history of outsourcing its animated cutscenes to renowned animation studios. For instance, WIT Studio handled the cutscenes for Persona 3 Reload, while Production I.G produced the animated sequences for Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal.
Persona 4 Revival was first announced in June 2025 with a teaser video, followed by a new trailer at the Xbox Showcase this past June. Since then, the developers have been releasing various updates, including special broadcasts and individual character introductions.
Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of Persona 4 Golden. While it retains the original storyline, every element—including visuals, UI, combat, and events—has been modernized. The game is scheduled for release on February 18, 2027, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
