On the 13th, NCSoft’s MMORPG 'AION 2' added a new transcendence dungeon, 'Mirror of Red Affection,' and implemented a system update. 'Mirror of Red Affection' is a dungeon conceptualized as a fantasy space created by the heart of 'Chromede' that fell in love, one of her fragmented pieces.

The minimum item level required for entry is 3,200, and the level requirement increases as the difficulty rises. This update introduces three new Arcana set effects—'Punishment,' 'Protection,' and 'Indomitability'—and expands the types of Arcana crystals that can be extracted. Among the set effects, 'Punishment' increases boss damage resistance, 'Protection' boosts regeneration, and 'Indomitability' raises weapon damage resistance, each by 5%. These can be forged using 'Noble Crystals (Imprint)' obtained by clearing 'Mirror of Red Affection.'

To support user growth, NCSoft has significantly enhanced dungeon rewards. The weekly reward acquisition limit has been increased from 14 to 21 for Expedition content, and from 7 to 14 for Transcendence content. Additionally, Kinah rewards for Tier 4 expeditions, such as 'Nest of the Dead Dramata,' and Tier 5 expeditions, such as 'Corridor of Illusion,' have also been increased.

A new daily dungeon, 'Cropakin’s Secret Vault,' has also been added. It is a mini-game style dungeon where players can earn Kinah by collecting coins while avoiding bombs within a 40-second time limit. Other system improvements for user convenience include an expanded dungeon invitation list, a reorganization of the Breeze Merchant Guild’s product lineup, the addition of boss rear indicators, seven new types of marks, and a HUD preset feature.

The 'AION 2' development team revealed future update plans during a live broadcast on the 12th, announcing the addition of a new sanctuary, 'Muspel’s Holy Grail,' on May 27. Meanwhile, NCSoft will host the 'AION 2 Showcase' in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on June 14. Applications for participation are open on the official 'AION 2' website until May 25, and 150 users will be selected via a lottery to attend the event.
