According to an announcement on TSM's social media, the team has recruited Wong "Chawy" Xing Lei as the team's Head Coach for the 2022 LCS season. In addition, they have confirmed their full roster for next season. Returning will be Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon and Mingyi "Spica" Lu for top lane and jungle. New signings include Edward "Tactical" Ra previously announced as AD carry, while Zhu "Keaiduo" Xiong and Wei "Shenyi" Zi-Jie will join as mid laner and support respectively.

The news follows the exit of last year's coach Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg — returning to competitive play with Team Liquid.  TSM's year was overall a disappointment, with the organization failing to qualify for the 2021 Leauge of Legends World Championship.  Rounding out the coaching staff will be Peter Zhang as Head of Player Development, Jack "Kayys" Kayser as LCS Strategic Coach and Head Scout, and Haitham Algbory as Head of Data Science and Analytics.

Chawy has been a fixture in League of Legends since the beginnings of the competitive scene. Originally playing with Singapore Sentinels, he later found success on organizations such as Taipei Assassins and ahq eSports Club — considered by many to be one of the best Southeast Asian players in history. After retiring from play, he worked as a coach for Hong Kong Attitude, and won the LMS 2019 Regional Finals to bring HKA to Worlds 2019.

The announcements for mid and support fall in line with Andy "Reginald" Dinh's statedhas plans to build TSM around young and upcoming talent. The twenty year old Keaiduo has only competed for one year — playing with the middle-ranked TT Young in the LDL throughout 2021. The nineteen year old Shenyi competed with FunPlus Blaze in the LDL to strong results for one year, before spending the latter half of 2021 as a substitute for FunPlus Phoenix.
