Riot Games reveals Arcane Season 2 is now in production

Riot Games revealed that season 2 of their smash hit television show Arcane is already in production. The announcement comes on the same day that the final act of Arcane Season 1 was released.

"We're beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane's first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment," said Arcane co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee in a press release.

The Animation team will once again be Fortiche Productions, with Executive Producers Christian Linke, Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung, Thomas Vu. Additionally, they announced that Hailee Steinfield will return as Vi, Ella Purnell as Jinx and Katie Leung as Caitlyn. Everything else, according to Riot, is "under wraps."

Arcane is a television show that is set in the League of Legends universe. The show follows the story of Jinx and Vi as they survive in the underbelly of the city of progress. Many characters from League of Legends made appearances in the first season, including Jayce, Caitlyn, Heimerdinger, and more.

In its first week, Arcane unseated Squid Game in 30+ territories for Netflix's top spot. Its success is already spurring on a second season and could mean more similar projects from Riot and other publishers in the future.
