Devin Nash speaks on Arcadum allegations, drops him from Novo

Dungeons & Dragons streamer Jeremy "Arcadum" Black is officially dropped from Novo, a talent agency owned by popular streamer Devin Nash.

Arcadum has been accused of sexual assault and emotional manipulation by multiple women in his D&D circle. Most of the accusations came to light earlier today, the most serious being a time Arcadum allegedly tried to force himself on a female friend multiple times. Screenshots also showed Arcadum manipulating other female friends to take part in sexual activities online.

The Dungeons & Dragons community was shattered when the allegations came out. A quick look at one thread showed that at least nine women had similar experiences with Arcadum, making it hard to deny the allegations.

Said one fan: "I don’t think you understand how hurt I am... I spent months watching your streams and even started making fan art. I was so inspired that just 24 hours ago I wanted to start a dnd club at my school. I wake up the next day and find this..."

Another said: "I looked forward to your games every fucking day... I had fallen in love with your world and what you created. Do you know how many hours I spent watching you DM? My soul feels shattered right now. I’ve NEVER felt this betrayed before. I hate you. I hate you so much."

As the D&D community continued to react to the accusations, Nash decided to step forward with his own reaction. In a TwitLonger, Nash stated that a third-party investigation was offered to Arcadum when he told a different story than that of the female victims. In response, Nash stated that the "investigation is no longer required."

Arcadum's contract was immediately terminated with Novo. Nash also advised Novo's partners to do the same. The streamer admitted that cutting business with Arcadum resulted in the loss of $20,000 in merchandise inventory and business deals.

"I am also stepping away from my participation in Arcadum's D&D games and brand permanently. I want to make a clear statement: We stand with the brave women who came out despite the difficulty and pressure of doing so. I encourage others to do the same," Nash said.

In the TwitLonger, Nash said that he was previously honored to represent Arcadum due to what the popular DM was doing for Dungeons & Dragons. He fell in love with Verum, Arcadum's world. But now he just feels "beyond betrayed and disappointed." But more importantly, Nash said, he felt sorry for the women that were impacted by the situation.

Said Nash: "I am tired of having to see tweets from women suffering this kind of abuse with no recourse. Fortunately — and finally — I am in a unique position to show that, in this industry, actions can and should have consequences. Matt and I started Novo to stand against predatory ethical practices in this industry. We're making another step in that direction today. We wholeheartedly condemn this behavior and will not suffer it."
