Beyond the Summit's Smash Summit 11 has a prize pool of over $140,000.

The crowd-funded prize pool is the largest in Summit's history. The previous record for the series is $83,758 back in 2017. Summit 11 broke records earlier when it reached over $100,000, making it the first-ever Super Smash Bros. tournament to have a prize pool of that size.

The $140,000 was raised almost entirely by fans. The Smash community was given the ability to vote for their favorite players by spending money on merch or subscribing to the Beyond the Summit Smash channel on Twitch. There are still 14 days left for fans to purchase items or donate to the prize pool.

The voting itself has now ended, however. The players voted to get an invite to the Summit are Juan "Hungrybox" DeBiedma, Logan "LSD" Dunn, Jeffrey "Axe" Williamson, and Dawud "Aklo" Rahman. The final two are Edgard "n0ne" L. Sheleby and Nick Yingling.

Smash Summit 11 is taking place July 15 to the 19th. Many of the top players in the world will be competing in Super Smash Bros. Melee in-person for the first time in over a year. The community's favorite villain, William "Leffen" Hjelte, will not be able to make it due to visa issues
