SKT T1 heads to the finals of LCK playoffs

As the regular season of the 2017 LCK Spring Split draws to a close, SK Telecom T1 has locked up first place in the 2017 LCK Spring Split by defeating ROX Tigers with a 2-1 record, effectively being crowned as the champion in the regular season.

As the winner of the regular season, SKT T1 is now guaranteed to receive 60 million Korean Won (approx. 50,000 US Dollar) and 70 circuit points as they will head straight to the finals of the LCK playoffs, which is played in a King of the Hill/Gauntlet format. If they are to win the finals, the prize will be increased to 100 million KRW (approx. 80,000 USD) and 90 circuit points.

For their crowning match, SKT T1 defeated Rox Tigers by Faker putting a heavy pressure on MIckey's Talon with Cassiopeia in Game 1, and Bang showing stellar performance with his signature champion Ezreal in Game 3. Although ROX Tigers did their best by taking Game 2 from SKT T1, it wasn’t enough to stop them from heading to the finals.

Meanwhile, the remaining spots of the playoffs are still being contested, and the teams who will compete in the upcoming playoffs will only be clear once the match between Afreeca Freecs and KT Rolster concludes on March 30th (KST).
