On the very last day of the 2021 LCK Spring split, DWG KIA defeated kt Rolster 2-1 to end their regular split 16-2, and in 1st place. In the second match of the day, NS RedForce defeated Fredit BRION 2-0 to lock their spot in the Spring split playoffs. With these results, kt Rolster and Liiv SANDBOX have been eliminated from playoff contention.

In game 1 of match 1, KT’s performance was one that showcased their desire to solidify their spot in their playoffs. KT’s bot lane was not afraid to take the fight against ‘Ghost-BeryL’, and despite the gameplay not being the cleanest, they slowly were able to take the lead against them.

Of course, as the 1st place team in the LCK, DWG KIA put up a good fight. However, KT was able to take early dragon stacks to bait DWG KIA into skirmishing, and with Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon’s Gragas standing strong in KT’s frontlines, he was able to get the key initiates that his team needed to force teamfights. The lead that KT built was too much for DWG KIA to overcome, and KT led the series 1-0.

DWG KIA’s explosive playstyle was properly demonstrated in game 2. With snowball champions like Renekton-Nidalee, they were able to snowball the game right from the get-go, tying up the series 1-1.

Unfortunately for KT, they were unable to overcome DWG KIA’s momentum from game 2. Not only did Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun was able to get a lot of early kills in the bot lane, Kim “Khan” Dong-ha’s Gangplank also managed to dominate Doran’s Renekton in lane. It was a comfortable win for DWG KIA, and with it, they ended their regular split 16-2.

In the second match of the evening, NS RedForce managed to defeat Fredit BRION 2-0 and locked their place in the playoffs.

In game 1, Park “Bay” Jun-Byeong looked as if he stepped up for his team, as he was the key player that led his team to victory. NS RedForce managed to win the first teamfight near the Rift Herald, and managed to snowball their advantages from that point. With a successful dive that followed from that point, they managed to not make any major mistakes and had a smooth victory to lead the series 1-0.

Fredit BRION had a decent early game in game 2. However, Han “Peanut” Wang-ho’s Graves managed to successfully gank mid lane to kill Kim “Lava” Tae-hoon’s Viktor, which completely changed the flow of the game. The two kills that followed in the bot lane shortly after snowballed to NS RedForce taking three dragon stacks. Despite Fredit BRION’s attempts to overturn the flow through teamfighting, it was not enough for them to tie up the series and ended in a 2-0 victory for NS RedForce.
