Black Desert Online celebrates its 1st Anniversary

Black Desert Online, developed by Pearl Abyss and published by Kakao Games Europe, released the game’s infographic to celebrate its first anniversary.

BDO has been off to a great start since its CBT (Closed Beta Test) in North America and Europe. More than 400,000 people had applied for the CBT, and more than 100,000 concurrent users enjoyed the game, with a retention rate of 80% in the first week of its official release. The number of paid users exceeded 800,000 within two months of it being in service.

The infographic was designed to take a glance at the current status of BDO in North America and Europe. A total of 1.83 million users have enjoyed BDO in North America, and 1.57 million have enjoyed the game in Europe. About 90,000 characters are above level 56 in the North American server, and about 92,000 in Europe.

A total of 131 guilds have participated in the Conquest War in Europe, with 158 guilds from North America. 42 guilds have won the war in Europe, and 39 have won in North America. The total number of deaths is equal to 7,571 and 8,408 in Europe and North America, respectively.

Going forward with their great success in North America and Europe, Pearl Abyss is planning to expand the service territory for BDO to Taiwan. In addition to expanding who can play the game, Pearl Abyss is also working towards improvements to the game such as remastered graphics. The full infographic for BDO can be found below.
