Day 34 of the 2021 LCK Spring split came to its conclusion. Both DWG KIA and Hanwha Life Esports took a 2-0 victory against their respective opponents, Fredit BRION and Afreeca Freecs.

DWG KIA and Fredit BRION faced off in the first match of the day. DK’s bot lane showed superiority in their macro, as their bot lane, Ghost-BeryL, gaining priority at all points of the game. With it, they were able to take various objectives with ease, and led the series 1-0.

Game 2 was all about Kim “Khan” Dong-ha’s Sion, as they led a very one-sided game. With Khan and BeryL beautifully pulling all the aggro for the team during objective teamfights, DWG KIA was able to quickly gain a sizable lead. Not only were they up 5:0 in kill score, DWG KIA were able to take all the objectives uncontested. Despite a valiant last hoorah from Fredit BRION, they were unable to overcome the immovable object, Sion. With even a 3 vs 5 teamfight victory for DWG KIA, Fredit BRION’s nexus fell, and took a dominating 2-0 victory.

In the second match of the day, HLE defeated Afreeca Freecs 2-0. From solo kills in the side lanes to beautifully baiting out enemy skills for his team, the mid laner for HLE, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, dominated the rift on Aatrox. He was named Player of the game for his performance in game 1.

In game 2 of this series, it looked as if the Afreeca Freecs had a sizable lead. With it, AF’s bot duo roamed up towards the top half of the map in an attempt to snowball the game, but HLE was unfazed. With Chovy’s Viktor at the center of it all, the team scaled well, and with side lane kills by Park “Morgan” Gi-tae and Kim “yoHan” Yo-han, they were able to take the lead. Eventually, HLE was able to dominate AF in the teamfights that followed, and the series ended with a 2-0 victory for HLE.
