Afreeca Freecs announced their coaches for the 2021 season through their official Twitter. They signed Nam “LirA” Tae-yoo and extended the contract with coach Han “Rigby” Earl.

LirA has a lot of experience in the scene. He started his career in 2013 in kt Rolster and also played in CJ Entus the next year. In 2015, he was in Anarchy which was later renamed to Afreeca Freecs. After Afreeca Freecs, LirA continued his career in the NA LCS, playing in Team EnVyUs and reaching Worlds with Clutch Gaming. This year, LirA was active as an analyst on the LCK analyst desk.

Rigby joined Afreeca Freecs in May this year. Although Afreeca Freecs parted ways with many coaches, Rigby extended his contract.

Meanwhile, Afreeca Freecs parted ways with their head coach Choi “iloveoov” Yeon-sung, Chae “viNylCat” Woo-cheol, and Yeon “ArtScene” Hyeong-mo. They signed two coaches, but the head coach spot is still open.
